Toad has a few great loves – like caravanning, motor cars and generally having a good time. Toad's madness finally gets the better of him as he ends up behind bars for his persistent reckless driving. Toad's enemies of the Wild Wood couldn't be happier to see him in prison as they plot to overtake Toad's estate, Toad Hall.
Toad manages to escape from prison and yet another adventure starts as he returns to Toad Hall, to find it occupied by his enemies. It's then up to foolish Toad – helped by kind Rat, wise Badger and gentle Mole as they all rally round in his hour of need, and win bak Toad Hall.
Auditions for the play took place in September with rehearsals starting in October. The auditions were open to all students from Year 7's through to the sixth form. The four main characters of Toad, Mole, Ratty and Badger were played by Josh Dyke Year 8, Harriet Patton Year 12, Tom Bagnall Year 12 and Dom Moss Year 13. As well as those selected to play the many parts, students have also contributed behind the scenes with set production. The performances took place in the Drama Hall from Tuesday 30th January to Friday 2nd February and started at 7.15pm.
